Valentine's Day China Cabinet Displays 2016

Thanks for stopping by to visit today.
Last week I shared with you
some Valentine's Day
Today I'm sharing
this year's decorated
China Cabinet at home
and at the booth.
This year at home I used blue and white
in combination with reds and pinks.

Pink plastic heart plates from Target
were light weight enough to display between
the back row of dinner plates
and the stack of saucers and bowls.
I used more of the Cavallini postcards from my
February table inside the cabinet.
I like that they are paper therefore they are lightweight
but they are card stock so they are able to stand up on their own.

Next we visit my black and red china cabinet
at the booth over at
The Red Scooter Antique Mall.
It was perfect for Valentine's day
especially since this display has
gone to dogs, with black lab
tea towels and cocktail napkins.

I couldn't resist the Bee Mine towels
since I love, love, love bees!

I think the modern stripe and heart napkins
mix well with the milk glass
vintage collectibles.
A few chalkboard bud vases and some burlap
gift bags join the display.
Finally, I added the Bless your Heart sign
on the door
and some chalk board
dessert plates and napkins below.
I hope you and yours have
a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Halloween China Cabinet

I went by the booth on Saturday to
update the Halloween display.
Wait what -what booth you say?
Well I am so happy to announce
that I have returned to my
old stomping grounds at
the Red Scooter Antique Mall
on Main Street in Taylorsville, Kentucky.
I will post more about the store later,
but today let me share the Halloween goodness.
Almost all of this was on my Beewitched Table
I shared with you last week.
And now it's available at the store!
In addition I have some adorable soaps,
dish towels, invitations and other goodies.
Fancy or casual I've got you covered
with plates, luncheon napkins,
cocktail napkins and drinkware.
Be sure to decorate for your goblins
with burlap accent hats, table runners,
aprons and dish towels.
I'm planning on adding
to the cabinet with more
milkglass from my collection.

Red, White & Blue Toile China Cabinet

Every few months of so I like to change things up in the China Cabinet. Previously I had backed it with red & white toile wallpaper leftovers from the downstairs bathroom. You can see that post here. For summertime I displayed some red, white and blue dishes, including these adorable frog placecard holders.

And their friends the larger froggy salt and pepper shakers! I love the pop of this red rooster platter in the back of the cabinet.

Inside this red and white polka dot casserole dish I placed blue and white carpet balls of assorted patterns.

And finally several sets of blue and white casserole dishes and a blue vase with red toile accent on the front.

On the fold down portion of the cabinet sits blue and white tiles, which can be used for coasters and a friendly patriotic bear. Check around your house and I'll bet you already have the makings of your own red, white and blue display. Thanks for coming by to visit me today. Rooster Red Toile

As part of my continuing transformation
at the store, I re-did the back of the china cabinet in red toile paper.
As a nice accent to the paper, I selected roosters
as the theme for the display.

This cheery sunflower platter will brighten your day!
Mixing in yellow as the pop of color was perfect.

A little bee's and strawberry napkins.

I even tucked in accents
in the side shelves.

Booth Updates

You may have noticed in my post on Monday that I changed around the china cabinet for Easter.

I love these bunny sucker covers - what a way to dress up your lollipop!

I really like the way it turned out with all the yellow, orange and pastel colors. Do you have your Easter decor out at home yet?

Met Monday Christmas Cabinet

For today's Met Monday, hosted by Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch, I decided to post the china cabinet transformation from fall seen here to a snowman winter wonderland! It looks like a snowman collectors dream as I layered up one great piece after another into the cabinet.

I love these vintage napkins with the red piping and ribbon embroidery.

Isn't the snowman reading on the chair so cute! That would make a great teacher gift!

The snowman family lamp is ready to brighten someones kitchen counter top or bathroom vanity.

These two shelf sitters are a real laid back pair!

Please go on over to visit Susan for more great Monday transformations! Have a great week ~ Jennifer

China Cabinet Re-do

After several months of looking around for the perfect china cabinet for the booth I finally found it while browsing online one day. I purchased it right away, begged Mr. Beeutiful to go and pick it up and bring it home. There it sat in our garage, taking up Mr. Beeutiful's parking spot for months. I had envisioned being one of those ladies that transforms furniture having been found tired and worn looking into wonderful pieces of fashionable enjoyment (kind of like rescuing a puppy without having to feed it). While more days went by and more of Mr. B's suggestions of going down to paint went unnoticed, I still had the vision of cabinet perfection. I finally got the motivation to go paint one very hot evening while Master Beeutiful was at 4-H camp. Mr. B so kindly offered to help me with the painting machine thingy. Well, one gallon of paint, one broken air paint spray thingy and veiled threats of divorce later, my vision of perfection (not really) was complete. The first picture is what we found online and the last pictures are the completed cabinet over at the booth space. Mr. B & I are still happily married (after almost 20 years of marriage it would take a lot more than paint to bring us down) but have agreed that furniture rescuing may not be my strong suit. The puppy however, is being picked up on August 22nd.
