Booutiful Breakfast II

We are back at the kitchen table
for another Booutiful table idea!
This time I combined milkglass, orange and white
gingham paper placemats, buffalo plaid chargers
Halloween tea towels,
black paper plates & festive Halloween paper napkins.
At each place setting there's a mix and match
set of flatware.
In addition I used Queen of Halloween
black and orange paper cocktail napkins
as a coaster for those juice spills that
happen at breakfast!
To secure the napkins I placed
a skull napkin ring on each place setting.
And I put a ghost spreader
in front of each place setting, which I thought would
be fun for buttering toast!

I filled each milk glass compote with
stripe and polka dot pumpkins.
I set those in front of my B O O sign.
 My ghost and cat pumpkin
salt and pepper shakers always seem to fit
my Halloween tables.
 Here's a better picture of the B O O sign,
which lights up at night.
I only see Orange available online now,
but I linked it below.

Booutiful Breakfast Table

With Halloween falling on a weekday this year
why not plan a special celebration
Halloween Booutiful breakfast?
The best thing is everything here
is paper so it's an
easy weekday cleanup!
Starting with plaid napkins I used as placemats
I found these orange and black plaid napkins
on Amazon last year,
but we've several similar styles at the store.
Next I used an old set of
black cat and ghost salt and peppers
and paper buffalo check cups.
Finally I layered black dinner plate,
an orange salad plate and a Boo napkin.
All of these are available at the store.
I found the flatware on Amazon for $20 for the set.
Here's the link:
A few festive pumpkins down the center
and one at each place setting.
Thanks for stopping by~

Murder Mystery Girls Night Ideas

Earlier this week I shared a
tablescape for a Ghoulish Girls Night.
Red Herring Games Murder at Curst Mansion - murder mystery game for 12 players

Today I'm sharing ideas to plan your own
Murder Mystery Night.
This would be a great idea
for Girls Night, but also
for a birthday party or family gathering.

Murder Mystery Party Games - A Taste for Wine and Murder, Host Your Own Murder Mystery Dinner for 8 Adult Players, Solve the Case with Crime Scene Clues, 18 Years and Up
When I began planning this earlier this summer
I thought I would have to develop an entire
theme dinner plan for the murder mystery.
However, once I began the research I
discovered so many affordable
kits and games already available
for purchase online.
I found several at Amazon.

In addition there are a lot of free
planning guides/scripts if
you search my Pinterest page.
Here's the link to several below:

Football Kickoff!

Are you ready for football season?
I know for many of us the kids football
has already started about a month ago,
but the official NFL and college games
start this weekend.
In celebration I setup this football theme
table mixing vintage and new along with
my favorite blue and white!
Football coasters are under milk glass tumblers
along with football placemats and squeeze balls.
You can find the placemats & coasters at the store
the little footballs were from Amazon.
I used our everyday plates and flatware
but added a nay linen tassel napkin.
Finally I added a little yard line treat box
on the center of each plate.
The centerpiece was a bowlful of footballs
always a hit with the grandsons.
They can be found here on Amazon.

Thanks for joining me today I hope your favorite
team has an excellent season!

LATE SUMMER SUNFLOWER SHOWER

Are you enjoying the late summer
as much as I am?  The days are definitely
getting shorter as we move towards fall!
This table is a perfect casual setup for
a sunflower theme bridal or baby shower
or luncheon for a special someone.
I mixed vintage with new in a
neutral brown color combination
with a few pops of yellow and coral.
 Vintage brown dripware hull pottery
dinner plates, teacups and servings pieces
along with vintage amber glasses
went perfectly with the sunflower linen and paper
napkins.
I thought the coral hydrangea made a nice
nod to summer without being too loud.
This little sugar pot has lost its creamer mate,
but he was to cute not to put out on a saucer.
My Great Aunt always entertained with both
linen and paper napkins on the table.
She said the linen was for "show" and the
the paper was for lipstick & bbq!
I have adopted her idea as well.
 The bronzed sunflower napkin rings
match the dinner plate,
which has a flower pattern around the border.
And the brown check paper table runner
makes a perfect base layer.
I have two sets of bamboo flatware
light and dark brown.  Since it's still
summer I decided to use the light brown.
You can find the dark version still
online at
Please join us on Facebook for lots
more sunflower tables, recipe and
shower ideas this week!
Or in a few weeks our store will be open
at 11720 Old Shelbyville Road

Dog Days of Celebrating!

Welcome to the table where we are celebrating
all things dog gone good!
Bright colors and playful patterns adorn this table
for a fun celebration.  I used my Lenox dinner plates
along with mix and match Sabre flatware,
adorable dog paper napkins and salad plates &
vintage yellow glassware.
I love the blue and white check
paper table runner with all the other colors of the table.
with red collar napkin rings
I found on Ebay ages ago.
The cutest little dog place card
holders are waiting for your name at the table.
I got these a few years ago
at Boxwoods in Atlanta.
A few mini stuffed puppies scattered on the table
are now making a favorite playtime
activity with our grandson Max.
I found them on Oriental Trading.
A magnetic salt and pepper showing that
cats and dogs can really be friends.
Purchased on Amazon Here.

A quick and simple centerpiece of
Gerber daisies make the final touch
to our fun table!
Wouldn't this be a great table
along with a hot dog bar
with tons of toppings.
Celebrate the blessings of family & friends
with easy and elegant ideas that are fun!

Shark Week Grandson Date Night

Welcome to my Grandsons Date Night
Shark Week theme table!
Do you celebrate Shark Week at your house?
I thought it was a perfect theme
for Grandson Date Night.
I was a little at a loss for what to feature.
I knew I wanted paper items because Date Night
with the Grandsons is always a week night,
which means I have worked a nine hour day
and clean up must be easy.
I used a silver and white stripe paper runner
and centered some grocery store flowers
then sprinkled in some shark week toys
we could also use in the pool that night.
Paper aqua blue dinner plates and
buffalo plaid napkins matched the shark suckers I found
online here.
 I also purchased some shark
pool diving sticks and placed them
down the center too.
You can find those here.
Finally I used a bath toy mama shark
with her three little baby sharks next to
where our youngest grandson sits.
I like him to have things
he can play with off the table during dinner
to entertain him while we are
heating up or cleaning up!
You can buy that online here.
Final table touches were the paper buffalo plaid
cups I have had for ages
& our everyday flatware.
Here is a close up picture of the shark suckers
and diving sticks.
Check out the video of this table on my
Facebook and Instagram Page.
Hope you celebrate in some way this weekend!

Patriotic Porch at the Little Bee House

Welcome to the Little Bee House
where we are decorated for the
Fourth celebrations.
I kept it pretty low key this summer
using items I already had and purchasing
new mini flags for the flower urns.
The black wicker rocking chairs and table
got a coat of fresh paint and are looking
patriotically spiffy!
I added flag pillow covers
found here on Amazon.
And a faux geranium plant found
at QVC last year, but is on clearance now
at this link.
The table and urns also got
a fresh coat of paint.
We are using all white and green
in the landscaping this year
so I went with ferns and topiaries
on & around the porch table.
In the urns we planted begonias, marigolds
and red geraniums.
Along with flowers a few flag
found here on Amazon.
I hope you are enjoying outdoors
this summer and a taste of Patriotic!

Summer Pool Party!

Welcome and thanks for stopping by!
Today I am sharing the setup I did for
a Girls Night Swim I hosted, but this would be a great
setup for any pool theme party this summer.
We used all paper here to cut down
on the clean up and the end of the evening
as it was a week night.
I used plastic glasses from Target so the girls
could take them out to the pool.
Flip flop theme paper napkins, green paper dinner plates
stir sticks from Oriental Trading add fun!

Sunglass picks were super fun for fruit and cheese
selections from the blue and white tray.
 Along with multi colored spreaders
setup on blue and white plates
where I placed an assortment
of sandwich spreads from our
local Pauls Deli.
For fun I added flip flop keychains
to match the paper napkins
as take home favors for the girls.
I also added these beach ball picks to match
I scattered around the table, both
are from Oriental Trading.

 After working a full day
I made it easy for myself by getting
pre cut fruit for the fruit tray from Pauls Deli.
And fresh baked buns for the sandwiches
from the bakery.
Here is a 'high" shot of the buffet table
in the kitchen. I setup everything the night
before so after work the night of the party all I had to do
was plate the food and enjoy!

My florist did a beautiful job of
creating a tropical theme arrangement
for the centerpiece.
