Vintage school clip art

Thanks for stopping by!
Today I'm sharing a few of the
vintage clipart images I found on the internet
for a back to school
theme table I'm working
on this week!

Sometimes I like the black and white
imagery for simplicity
and easy on the budget toner printing.

But then I also like to be able to use color
to tie in my theme and dishes.
This school boy with his dog is
an adorable image, which reminds me of my grandsons.
You can never go wrong incorporating
apples, pencils or chalkboard into
your back to school theme!
I love the botanical feel of the apple image above.

Finally I selected a plain chalkboard image,
I think this would be cute printed out as place cards
and then writing each child's name with a
word of encouragement.

Stay tuned to my Facebook, Instagram and
this blog for more ideas all week for
Back to School parties,
tables, recipe and craft ideas!

Mee Maw's Ice Cream Social

Thanks for stopping by!
Today I'm sharing the setup I prepared
for my annual Camp Mee Maw,
which is one week in the summer
that my husband and I take off work
to spend with our grandsons.
This year I thought we'd host an ice cream social.
The boys went to the grocery with"'Pops"
my husband and picked out
ice cream, whip cream, toppings etc.
for their ice cream treats.
I used paper cups and napkins
to keep clean up easy so
we could move onto more fun things!
I just love these spoons that say "pour more"
for the fudge cup
and "top it off" for the toppings tray.
 To keep the table somewhat
sticky free I used
these ice cream paper placemats.
I hope it made it a special memory.

What kinds of special treats are you
indulging in this summer?

Make it a beeutiful day!

Ice Cream Floral Fun

Thanks for stopping by today!
This is our ice cream social week.
On Facebook & Instagram
we are sharing some ice cream idea
displays at the store,
plus recipes and party ideas
all this week.

 Today we're offering some
Pinterest inspired floral arrangements
for your ice cream social,
baby or bridal ice cream theme
or just a summer get together.
I love that most of these use
compotes, cones (paper or real)
or old fashioned sherbet glasses
that you may already have or
could get a the dollar store.
These would be easy to do with
grocery store bought
bouquets or flowers from the yard.
Loving the addition of the straw!
I also love the idea of
using paper that matches
your theme to make
cones for the "ice cream" flowers.
Hanging from the back of guest's chairs would be so cute!
These last two pictures use real fruit
in combination with flowers,
strawberries above and cherries below
are a inexpensive way to incorporate a food element
into the arrangement.
I hope you enjoyed these floral ideas as much as I did!
Thanks again for stopping by~
