Porch for Spring

So I'm thinking that my fender bender last week was my "bad thing" for awhile, ya know? Oh my friends, be careful what you think, because God always thinks better! Tuesday I go into the dentist for phase I of a major overhaul on my mouth. It turns out that what was going to be a root canal ends up being a visit to the oral surgeon (next door) and two teeth extracted. Five hours -five stitches -and many bottles of pills (and a $495 bill) later I leave the oral surgeon's office in a daze. Well, five days later I can say that I am feeling much better and ready to move forward no matter what this day has planned :)
On to my porch changes for spring. Below I added a few touches of blue and purple to the small table by where we sit.

I think the lavender wreath will sparkle when I light the candle in the evenings.

Here I went on and added a few summer accents since I was not planning on changing this table up between Spring and Summer.

Madison is helping me out of the porch today.

I love this watermelon arrangement in the basket. See the cute little strawberries.

This petunia arrangement has a special secret I'll share with you on Thursday.

I like the combination of red, white and blue for the porch.

I placed pansies in the planters along the porch rail for Spring.

These guys really look better than they photographed. They are fakers, but the real thing won't grow up here because they do not get enough sunshine.
Here's a peek of my table scape for Thursday. I am in the process of putting together what linens and dishes to use with this cake plate.
I am joining Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch for Met Monday and Barb at A Stroll Thru Life for Tabletop Tuesday this week. Please visit their sites for more great posts.

  6. The little birdies and the wreath around the candle hurricane look so inviting. Still room for a cool drink or morning coffee. Love all of your flowers and the red and blue is so pretty on any porch. Hard to believe those pansies aren't real. They look wonderful. Thanks so much for joining the party, I am thrilled to find your blog. Hugs, Marty
