Miss Madison's New Accessories

Miss Madison, weary from Winter and looking forward to Spring
expressed a need for a new accessories.
(Yes my kids think I'm crazy)
While on One Kings Lane today I saw these adorable
sets under Harry Barker.
Miss Madison will be so fashionable in her pink and green!

Below is more information about this company:
" Packed with preppie style, Harry Barker's fun, eco-friendly doggie beds, pet dishes and kibble canisters are as warm and unique as the woman who created them. Carol Perkins, an ex-model and fire-eater for Penn & Teller on Broadway, began creating dog beds, toys and robes for friends, at her kitchen table. Her creations were an instant hit, and Harry Barker—named after her Super-Sheltie—came to be. "

They had some super cute stuff!

Miss Madison Turns One!

I thought I'd share a few of the pictures I've taken of her over the past year.

She has really grown up :)

She is all Westie - attitude, confidence and spunk!

Here she is the day we brought her home.

Happy Birthday Madison!
(She got a delightful bath with
Pure Grace soap by Philosphy as her present)

Spring May Make Here After All!

Friday after work I came home to sunny skies and a balmy 53 degrees. Squelching the urge to throw on shorts and a tee shirt, I did head outside in the yard with my camera and a few friends to see if these warm temps were reflected in any of my bulbs.

I had luck discovering the daffodils peeking out around the main stairs to our front door.

And next to my urns there were some signs of spring.

Under the coverage of a tulip poplar there were some big shoots of life emerging from the moss.

Finally around back under leaves some more daffodils were found. Here is a picture of my helper this Friday evening. She's gotten so big!
Her interest in nature subsided when the cat joined us on the photoshoot!

You can see from the bottom right of this photo, our old Lab Thunder mostly stays by my side these days.
He has no interest in the puppy or the cat.
A few more photos of Miss Madison discovering she cannot get down off the rock creek wall that lines our driveway.

Yes, I think we are all ready for spring.
Today I am joining Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch
for another Met Monday.

Met Monday She Left . . She's Here!

This week I've put an Organized Life on hold, but it will be back next Monday. Please join me in thanking Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch for hosting Metamorphis Monday. Be sure to stop by there and see all the great posts. http://www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/

I'm late to post my Met Monday today because we've had a very busy weekend. My daughter left for her senior semester abroad on Saturday. I'm glad she has the great opportunity, but Christmas can't come fast enough so she will be back home! The same day my daughter left, my fur baby Madison arrived! We drove down to Paducah and picked her up Saturday. Needless to say we've not had a lot of sleep, but I think that has helped me not worry about my daughter as much. I put a picture of Madison on the right side of my page.

Today's post is a picture of our daughters room. It looks very empty now that we've moved all of her stuff into storage or she has taken it with her. I'm calling on all empty nesters out there to help me with suggestions on how to transform this room into a guest room. These empty shelves need help! Any ideas?

Madison Met Monday

Welcome to Met Monday hosted by Susan over at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/. Today I'm posting the photos I've to date from the breeder, Wonderland Kennels in Hickory, Kentucky (between Mayfield and Paducah) of our new puppy Madison. These show her at two, three, four and six weeks. We are scheduled to pick her up on August 22nd!
