Gone Fishing!

Welcome out on the porch for a fun
table I setup for summer~
Fishing is a hobby that provides hours of relaxation for some,
but for me tablescapes and entertaining provide my relaxation.
Today I set a table with a combination of vintage and new items.
Yellow, green and aqua mix surprisingly well with the fish
in the Mary Lake Thompson towels.
Some cheery sunflowers center the table
I thought these butter pat fish dishes were a whimsical touch
I also added this trout accent as well.
Fishing always reminds me of summer vacation
at Lake Barkley, where we will be heading in a few weeks
and I cannot wait!
Saturday is the first day of summer and I hope
you and yours are settling in for some
relaxation and entertaining!

  3. Hi there! I'm visiting your blog for the 1st time via Cuisine Kathleen's summer whimsy challenge!

First, I have to tell you how much I love your porch floor! I am going to pin that so my Mom can see it. She will just flip! That is so cool! I have never seen that checkerboard design done on a porch. It's a wonderful idea and really lets people know as soon as they approach that you are working with a very creative brain!

Those fish towel/napkins are SO cool!!! I just love them! I have gathered a lot of stuff together for a fishing tablescape, but the weather is keeping me indoors. I think those towels/napkins just make the table really work the fishing aspect without going overboard. (Was that a pun of some sort? :-) )

Those are some really gorgeous sunflowers you've got there! The heads are beautifully shaped.

Have fun at the lake, and enjoy these lazy, hazy days of summer!

  4. What a fun, themed table! The towels as napkins are just perfect and sunflowers in a jar are so cheery. Your trout plates add the right touch. I love your vintage table with the pretty covered seats. I'm with Alycia in loving your checkerboard floor! Enjoy your vacation and I hope the fishing is great.
