Exciting News!

Well I haven't posted all week but I have been a busy girl. I have some exciting news I wanted to share with you, my blogging friends!
I am moving from my double booth space at the antique mall in Taylorsville to a storefront in Middletown, KY.
Located on the 2nd floor of the Historic Head House,
I have leased 310 square feet.

Here's a picture of the front of the building, Miss B is modeling for us.
I am in the upper right of the 2nd floor with two windows.

I am soooo excited about being a real store owner.
I have dreamed about having my own store for years.

This is a great location with a restaurant and other stores on the property.

It is a completely restored property with tons of charm.

Here's my space in the "before" stage.

I love the fireplace and the huge windows.

The hardwood floors are in good condition.

We came armed with supplies Saturday to begin painting.

This nice message was left by my predecessors.
Sharpie is going to take four coats to cover.
They also took the light fixture so we're in the dark at sunset.

Mr. B hard at work doing the brush work.

Master B became an excellent roller.
I hope you will join me on this journey of new shop owner
as I post each Monday the progress from today to my opening.
I'm joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch
for Metamorphosis Monday.

  4. OH Congratulations! I am soo excited for you! I can't wait to follow along and see your progress! This is a really neat concept to have individual stores in one house. I am wondering though will you be there daily doing the selling as I suspect? Very cool!

  5. Congratulations! We moved our Hallmark store into a new shopping center about 2 years ago. It was a brand new space, and we had a great time putting our store together. Of course, you have more interior and exterior charm than we have. I love the fireplace and the chair railing. Antiques and had mad crafts would look great here.
Stop by Applejack Lane sometime when you are not busy!!!

  6. I had to revisit you. I saw that you had just visited Charlottesville and Monticello. We are 30 minutes from C'Ville. The Caspari store you visited is one of six in the world! I think that is pretty impressive. I love Caspari and carry it, but it seems to be a little more than most of my customer base can handle. Glad you enjoyed your tour of Virginia. I just become a follower!
