Fern Folly

This weekend is the weekend after Derby, which means it's Mother's Day weekend. I always get my ferns on Mothers Day weekend.
Before we moved to our current house, we lived in a Victorian style farmhouse and I hung ferns across the front porch. When we moved here I placed ferns on the back porch and they love it there.

This fountain was a Mother's Day gift two years ago. I love hearing the water in the evening.

It is made from that faux stone material, which makes it light enough to mount on the wall. I hate the cord though.

I place a fern next to the fountain and it seems to like the moisture.

Then I line up three other ferns along the banister in plant stands.

This one thinks she's Minnie Pearl with her tag still on!

Today I'm joining My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday. Please visit there next to see more great posts of Show and Tell.

  1. Beautiful ferns you have. I was thinking about getting a few to hang on my patio, but I will need to find out more on how to care for them.
The fountain is nice, but perhaps you can hide the cord behind the fern.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  2. Oh my they are so beautiful, as your home is too, and I love that waterfall, so creative and so gorgeous too, Hugs and have a wonderful weekend. God bless you, Barbara

  3. Beautiful Porch! Love the Ferns. I put them in a wicker plant stand on my screen porch every spring. Have you thought of this? Why not put the fern in a plant stand tall enough to cover the fountain cord on the left side. CGE
