Thank you so much for all of your comments and suggestions
for table setup at our Thanksgiving.
I decided to rent three 60 inch round tables and 28 chairs to transform the living room into our dining room for the Thanksgiving day. As you can see below, it was all hands on deck for setup day Wednesday. Madison is, of course, in a supervising role.
We moved most of the furniture out of the living room and pushed back the remaining pieces to make as much floor space as possible.
With the linens pressed, silver polished and flowers arranged it was time for table setting.
More detail on Thursday of the table settings, which I hope will provide some inspiration for Christmas as well as your next Thanksgiving. I'm joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch.
What a nice setting!
ReplyDeleteI am sure your guests enjoyed being able to talk to each other at just the next table rather than in the next room.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!!
ReplyDeleteOMG! How many guests did you have? Did anyone helped you out with cooking, cleaning and getting ready...and later cleaning up??!! Yea, I had to rent too before for hubby's b'day party and for friends welcomed back from diplomatic jobs abroad and baby showers, etc....and worked til I dropped too, but it's fun! Thanks for sharing. FABBY
ReplyDeleteSuch a terrific idea. I love how you set the tables.

ReplyDeleteBut the crucial thing to think of is that the cheapest deal may not necessarily be the best option for you, especially if that increased reduction places your youngster in any kind of danger, it is always more prudent to pay a little more than to place your child in any kind of danger.
Fabulous transformation, those round tables really make it!
ReplyDeleteThe tables look great. You did a good job! Hopefully a good time was had by all.
ReplyDeleteWow, you are planning for a crowd. Can't wait to see the results! Liz
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely - hope you didn't have to do all the cooking yourself!!
